First Black Friday, then Cyber Monday…and now #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back.

 

The Children’s Initiative is celebrating #GivingTuesday by providing after school program staff with gratitude activities to do with their students. Instead of focusing on wants, students will write about and share what they are grateful for. With more than 375 programs across 29 school districts and 20 charter schools, thousands of students across San Diego County will be participating in #GivingTuesday through their gratitude project this afternoon.

 

We encourage you to join the movement of giving by donating to an organization that you know is making a difference in your community. You can use the hashtag #GivingTuesday in social media to talk about the causes and charities you support.

 

Join us in being part of this new global celebration of generosity! Please consider donating to the Children’s Initiative to help us reach our holiday goal of $10,000 to provide our expanded learning programs with the support they need. This includes art supplies, STEM educational activities, gardening supplies, and books to help students build their home libraries.
